Encased in 10ml tubes, these exceptional watercolors belong to the Sedimentation & Macaron New Special Series Granulating Colors, designed specifically for artists who appreciate the unique qualities of granulating pigments.
💍 Granulation (G) is a distinctive characteristic of certain pigments that results in a mesmerizing texture on paper, where small specks or flakes create a visually appealing non-uniform surface. This phenomenon occurs due to the natural tendency of pigment particles to cluster together as they interact with water on the wet paper surface. For artists, this means the ability to bring depth and complexity to their works, as granulation enhances the richness of color while adding dimension.
🪶 In watercolors, granulating pigments such as ultramarines, cobalts, cadmium, earthy tones, and Mars blacks and browns exhibit this behavior prominently. The rich textures and color variations become particularly striking when applied to rough or coarse-textured paper, inviting bolder expressions in your artistry.
💍 The magic of granulation is best appreciated when working on a wet sheet, using soft brushes that allow pigments to glide effortlessly in the aqueous medium. During this process, the interplay of stratification—where pigments settle in layers—and granulation crafts a tapestry of colors that evolves as the water evaporates, revealing a stunning final masterpiece.
⚪ With the Russian White Nights Extra Fine Watercolors, every stroke promises an adventure. Embrace the enchanting dance of color and texture that only these granulating pigments can offer, and let your creativity flow like never before.
