Assembly Guidelines:

🏆 To ensure optimal performance and reliability, follow these recommended steps for assembly:

  1. Solder the components onto the front board in order of size, starting with lower components like capacitors, resistors, and diodes.
  2. Proceed to solder the IC socket, terminal blocks, and, lastly, the power socket and adjustable potentiometer.
  3. Use diagonal cutting pliers to trim any excess leads on the back of the board as close to the PCB as possible.

Debugging Steps:

  1. After soldering the IC (XR2206), ensure it is correctly oriented to avoid damaging the chip.
  2. Check for any solder bridges or incorrect placements; rectify any issues promptly.
  3. Connect the power supply via the appropriate port (5.5 x 2.1mm), making sure the negative polarity is oriented outward. Note that exceeding 12V may cause instability in waveforms.

Operating Instructions:

  1. Insert the jumper cap into J1 to output a sine wave from the SIN/TRI blue terminals (note that only one of J1 or J2 can be inserted at a time).
  2. If J2 is installed, the output will switch to a triangular wave from the same terminals.
  3. The SQU blue terminals will output a square pulse signal.
  4. Utilize the AMP control to adjust the amplitude of the sine and triangle waves.
  5. The FINE and COARSE knobs will enable precise and coarse frequency adjustments respectively.
